From Raspberry Sherbet to Cranberry

So, I was wondering about the victorian at Haight and Steiner that was recently painted that raspberry sherbet pink. It was a bit, er, intense. I could only wonder if the landlord was having some sort of tiff with RNM and wanted to piss them off with that color.
Today I see they are painting the pink with a coat of cranberry that seems relatively subdued. Does anyone know the background story? Was the landlord really trying to piss of RNM? Just curious......

If you're familiar with the "Shut Up Little Man" underground tapes that made the rounds oh, about 20 or so years ago, the guys lived in a building on Steiner just around the corner that they called the Pepto Bismol Palace. So it appears that yucky pink is a semi-popular color with landlords. At least it's not battleship grey.

And I know that doesn't answer your question, but we're all about tangents here in tribeland now aren't we?
